TOMMY HILFIGER APPOINTS ROBERT GRAYSON TO BOARD

 HONG KONG, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Tommy Hilfiger Corporation (NYSE: TOM) today announced that Robert C. Grayson has been named to its Board of Directors, effective Aug. 4, 1993. His appointment brings the total number of board members to eleven.
 Mr. Grayson retired from The Limited, Inc. in 1992, after more than two decades of service. He began his career in the retail apparel industry in 1970 as a store manager at one of the six Limited stores. By 1983, he was named chief executive officer of the division with over 500 stores. From 1985 through 1992, Mr. Grayson served as chief executive officer of Lerner, a division of The Limited. It was during this period that he engineered the turnaround of Lerner, the largest specialty store chain in the United States.
 Joel J. Horowitz, president and chief operating officer of Tommy Hilfiger Corporation, said, "We are very pleased to have Bob joining our Board. We feel his experience in the retail industry will add a new dimension of strength to our board. We are confident that his counsel will be a great asset as we continue to grow our business."
 Currently Mr. Grayson serves as a consultant to several established retail clothing companies, advising on issues such as brand imaging, design, production, marketing and distribution. In addition, he serves on the Boards of Directors of Ann Taylor and Eagle Food Centers, Inc.
 Mr. Grayson graduated from Indiana University. He lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, and is a trustee of Greenwich Country Day School.
