TOM SCHURR NAMED PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER, KSEG-FM, SACRAMENTO

 CINCINNATI, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Great American Television and Radio Co., Inc. (GATRC) today announced the promotion of Thomas J. Schurr to President and General Manager of Sacramento's KSEG-FM, "The Eagle." In addition to his responsibilities for The Eagle, Mr. Schurr will oversee daily operations of KRXQ-FM (Roseville-Sacramento) which is being acquired by GATRC.
 "Tom has done a great job with The Eagle, where we have successfully changed the format and built our audiences over the last two years," said David H. Crowl, President of GATRC's Radio Group. "He is the right person to manage the pair of stations in this dynamic market."
 Schurr has been Vice President and General Manager of KSEG since 1988. From 1987 through 1988, he was General Sales Manager of WLZR-AM and FM, Milwaukee; Local Sales Manager of WGR-AM/WRLT-FM, Buffalo, New York from 1985 to 1987; and an account executive for WKRC-AM, Cincinnati, from 1983 to 1985. He started his career with GATRC, then Taft Broadcasting in its management development program in 1982.
 Schurr holds an M.B.A. degree in Finances/Management from Xavier University, where he also received his B.S.B.A. in Economics and Marketing. Schurr and his wife, Elizabeth, have four children.
 Great American owns 11 FM and 5 AM stations as well as 6 network affiliated television stations in major markets throughout the country. Great American's stock is traded over the counter under the symbol GACC.
