TOM AND DICK SMOTHERS FEATURED IN
NEW ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN FOR INVISIBLE FENCING
BALA CYNWYD, Pa., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- In the new 30-second television commercials for Invisible Fencing, the first electronic pet containment system in the United States, Tom and Dick Smothers use their unique style of humor to demonstrate how the product works as an invisible barrier to keep all kinds of dogs safely on the property -- even Tom's dog, Harry.
Created and produced by the Philadelphia advertising agency, O'Neill/DelRosso, the campaign includes two 30-second television commercials, two 60-second radio spots, newspaper and magazine print ads, outdoor boards, transit posters, direct mail and sales support materials. It began appearing April 15 in selected markets across the United States.
The purpose of the campaign is to convince consumers that Invisible Fencing provides a safe and effective way to protect dogs from harm away from the property, while still maintaining the property's aesthetic beauty.
"We're very excited about this campaign, because Invisible Fencing is truly a unique product, and presents some overwhelming benefits to the consumer," said Tom O'Neill, the agency's president.
"From our research we found out that most dog owners want to protect their dogs, but have a problem with the look of a conventional fence, and often don't know that any other options are available. It's an exciting challenge to be able to create consumer awareness for a particular product in a category that is relatively unknown."
Kent Murray, the agency's creative director, initially thought that using a visual medium to create a strong brand identity for a product that's invisible was a challenge. "Tom and Dick helped overcome a real creative obstacle by communicating the benefits of Invisible Fencing in a memorable and believable way. They give a personality to Invisible Fencing that elevates it above the competition," he said.
O'Neill/DelRosso Inc. is a full-service advertising agency serving a wide range of clients in the consumer, business-to-business, healthcare and service industries. The agency is dedicated to delivering top level marketing thinking, and creative that outperforms the competition. With more than $6 million in billings, the agency's current clients include: Scott Worldwide, ARA Services, Kraft General Foods, WXPN Radio, Presbyterian Medical Center, among others.
