TOLL-FREE LIGHTING HOTLINE NOW CONNECTS CONSUMERS DIRECTLY WITH AMERICAN LIGHTING ASSOCIATION SHOWROOMS

CHICAGO, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Lighting Association has upgraded its toll-free hotline to provide consumers with a direct telephone connection to their local ALA showroom.
As in the past, when consumers call 1-800-BRIGHT IDEAS (1-800-274-4484), they will be given the name and short address of up to three showrooms, depending on how many are located in their area.
In addition, starting today, consumers will now be given the option of being directly connected to one of the three showrooms by pressing the appropriate number on the phone. The direct connection feature was added to make it easier for consumers to find solutions to their lighting needs.
If the showroom is closed, the caller will be given the telephone number and asked to call back during regular business hours. If the showroom line is busy, the caller will be given the telephone number and asked to call back in a few minutes.
Once consumers are connected to the showroom, they can ask questions about lighting or make arrangements to visit the showroom in person.
ALA showrooms are staffed by lighting specialists who can help consumers design attractive and functional lighting schemes and choose fixtures that best suit their requirements and budget.
The American Lighting Association is a trade organization representing more than 600 manufacturers, showroom dealers and manufacturer representatives throughout the United States and Canada.
