TODD P. LEISER NAMED VICE PRESIDENT
 AND GENERAL MANAGER OF WSUN/WWRM(FM)
ATLANTA, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Todd P. Leiser has been named vice president and general manager of WSUN/WWRM(FM) in Tampa, Fla., effective immediately.
He will transfer from Charlotte, N.C., where he is vice president and general manager of WSOC-FM. The announcement was made by Robert F. Neil, executive vice president-radio for the broadcasting division of Cox Enterprises, Inc.
Leiser succeeds Robert E. Huntley, who recently left the company.
In making the announcement, Neil said: "Todd has done a terrific job for Cox radio at several stations, including WSUN/WWRM, where he was general sales manager from 1988 to 1990. He has more than 13 years experience on both the talent and business side of radio, and he is an excellent general manager. We're pleased to bring Todd back to Tampa in the top position."
Leiser was promoted to vice president and general manager at WSOC AM-FM in 1990, after two years as general sales manager at WSUN/WWRM(FM). He joined Cox in 1985 as sales manager at WSB AM-FM in Atlanta. Previously, Leiser was with WUBE AM-FM in Cincinnati for eight years, where he served as announcer, account executive, and local and general sales manager.
Cox Broadcasting sold the AM station in Charlotte earlier this year. The company recently announced that WSOC-FM will be exchanged for WHQT(FM) in Miami, owned by EZ Communications in Fairfax, Va., pending regulatory approval.
Cox's radio group includes KFI/KOST(FM), Los Angeles; WHIO/WHKO(FM), Dayton, Ohio; WSB AM-FM, Atlanta; WSOC(FM), Charlotte; WSUN/WWRM(FM), Tampa-St. Petersburg; WCKG(FM), Chicago; WIOD and WFLC(FM), Miami; and KLRX(FM), Dallas. Cox Broadcasting also includes television stations in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dayton, Detroit, Orlando, Pittsburgh and San Francisco-Oakland; and TeleRep, the national television sales representation firm, whose programming arm produces syndicated television programs.
In addition, Cox Enterprises, Inc., is a leader in newspaper publishing, cable television and automobile auctions.
