TFI FRIDAY (Channel 4, 9pm) ROWDY, ridiculous and a little bit rude, TFI Friday was THE cult musical entertainment show of the Nineties. Like a weekly party that kicked down the doors to the weekend, it had superstar guests, stupid (but hilarious) gags, sketches, live music, interviews - and a high-spirited studio audience.
So thank Four it's back! Returning for a live 90-minute anniversary special, hosted once again by the inimitable Chris Evans, back with original co-writer Danny Baker.
Chris |hosts TFI It was originally pitched as a 20th anniversary celebration, until someone pointed out it has actually only been 19 years since the show's run from 1996 to 2000.
"Oops, we thought at first," says Chris. "But actually that's perfect, exactly what TFI would do. Celebrate the usually uncelebrated."
Broadcasting from a new location in central London, we have been promised some of the most memorable features, as well as guests like Blur and Shaun Ryder. Anything could happen - buckle up for a rollicking ride!
KATE HUMBLE: LIVING WITH NOMADS (BBC2, 9pm) KATE HUMBLE is always game for any adventure. But she might be rethinking her long-held ambition to be a nomad after this one.
Joining the Nenets, reindeer herders living deep in the Arctic, Kate needs more than a scarf and woolly hat to keep cosy, as temperatures can drop to - 54degC. While on the Yamal (which means end of the world in local lingo), Kate learns how the herders are facing global threats such as infrastructure and climate change.
In 2013, thousands of reindeer died after a dramatic temperature rise.
Evans Friday One Nenet says: "Our reindeer are priceless. If they disappear then we Nenets will also disappear."
A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN (SKY1, 9pm) HAVING recently upped sticks and moved across the pond to host The Late Late Show, James Corden returns for this hilarious sports panel show.
He referees, while regulars Freddie Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and Jack Whitehall join in for some ridiculous games of sporting skill and knowledge.
This episode welcomes guests goalie Peter Schmeichel, Olympic snowboarder Jenny Jones and comedian Josh Widdicombe who join a goalkeeping challenge, tackle a real snow ski-jump and re-enact
