TNN'S 'CROOK AND CHASE' COVERS 'PLATINUM PARTY' FOR COUNTRY SENSATION BILLY RAY CYRUS

TNN'S 'CROOK AND CHASE' COVERS 'PLATINUM PARTY' FOR
 COUNTRY SENSATION BILLY RAY CYRUS
NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 24 /PRNewswire/ -- "TNN: The Nashville Network's" live entertainment news magazine, "Crook and Chase," will telecast a live interview with the No. 1 singer in the nation, Billy Ray Cyrus. The special coverage will be in conjunction with Mercury/Polygram Records' "platinum party" in Nashville to celebrate the phenomenal success of his debut album, "Some Gave All."
The live segment will be seen on "Crook and Chase" between 8-9 p.m. (all times Eastern) on Tuesday, July 28, via the network's mobile uplink satellite truck, StarCatcher.
Cyrus, an appealing "hunk" from Flatwoods, Ky., broke music industry records this year with his debut LP, "Some Gave All," which has been No. 1 for eight weeks on Billboard magazine's pop and country album charts(A). The cross-over album achieved the highest entry ever for a first LP on the Billboard Top 200 pop album chart -- entering at number 4 on the chart. In its second week the album rocketed to number one -- even the Beatles debut album didn't achieve that level of success. Cyrus is best known for his infectiously danceable tune, "Achy Breaky Heart," which blossomed into its own dance and debuted on "CMT: Country Music Television" before Mercury/Polygram released the single. When the song was released, it became a phenomenal hit within six weeks, dominating the country music and top 40 radio playlists as well as honky-tonk dance halls.
"Crook and Chase" is hosted by the popular reporters Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase. Viewers can watch the program Monday through Friday, 8-9 p.m.
