TMP rolls out Super Grandia.

Toyota Motor Philippines launched on Monday the all-new Toyota Hiace Super Grandia, a van that features advanced safety measures.

TMP president Satoru Suzuki said the company was expecting to sell 400 units of the Toyota Hiace Super Grandia a month starting September or a total of 1,600 units by the end of the year.

The Super Grandia is seen to further boost the Hiace's position in the market. As of end July, it has a 54.6-percent share in its segment.

The model, which will be available in the market starting Aug. 26, will be sold for P2.4 million to nearly P2.9 million depending on the variant of the unit.

All variants will have the following features: nine supplemental restraint system airbags, an antilock brake system, vehicle stability control with break assist and clearance and back sonars.

MSuper Grandia Elite, priced at P2.88 million, is the first variant in TMP's official vehicle lineup that features Toyota Safety Sense (TSS). -ROY STEPHEN C. CANIVEL
