TM CENTURY, INC. REPORTS NET INCOME

DALLAS, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- TM Century, Inc. (NASDAQ: TMCI), today reported net income of $394,000, or $.14 per share, for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 1992, as compared to a net loss of $216,000, or $.08 per share, in fiscal 1991. Revenues increased to $9.2 million in fiscal 1992 as compared with $8.8 million in fiscal 1991.
Earnings in fiscal 1992 improved primarily as a result of the absence of non-recurring purchase and consolidation costs incurred during fiscal 1991, subsequent to the acquisition of TM Communications by Century 21 Programming in August 1990.
Craig Turner, president and CEO, stated, "1992 was not an ordinary year for TM Century, with a change in upper management and a difficult economy worldwide. The fact that the company has been profitable during one of broadcasting's most difficult periods makes me feel very encouraged about our potential performance during a better economic climate in the future."
Effective Jan. 14, 1993, TM Century, Inc., has been advised that a former executive officer has sold 208,685 shares, representing 8 percent of the company's common stock, to a group of approximately 20 investors, including management and directors of TM Century who purchased 15,000 shares in the registered placement.
TM Century is engaged in the creation, production, marketing and worldwide distribution of compact disc music libraries, production libraries, station identification jingles, commercials for radio stations produced for television broadcast, music scheduling software and special equipment and compact disc players for radio stations.
