 TITAN PURCHASES GAMMA SATCOM
 SAN DIEGO, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The Titan Corp. (NYSE: TTN)


announced today that it has purchased the assets of the Satcom product line from Gamma Microwave Inc., a Santa Clara-based corporation. Gamma Satcom produces commercial radios for high data rate earth stations which transmit and receive high quality voice, data and video information. Current customers include original satellite equipment manufacturers in the United States and other U.S. and international users of Satcom radios. The new commercial satellite transceiver business area will be named "Titan Gamma Satcom" and will be a business area within the Titan Linkabit Group.
 Jack McDougall, president of Titan Linkabit, said, "Gamma Satcom products and Linkabit products are very complementary. We have several excellent opportunities to integrate Linkabit technology into the Gamma Satcom product which will enhance it and allow us to reach new commercial markets."
 Gene Ray, president and chief executive officer, said, "The purchase of Gamma Satcom is another important step in expanding Titan's business into the commercial arena. Market studies indicate that this is one of the fastest growing segments in the satellite communications marketplace."
 Titan Gamma Satcom will continue to operate in Santa Clara with current employees. Robert Shuken will be vice president and general manager. Additional employees are expected to be hired as the business grows.
 The Titan Corp., headquartered in San Diego, is a leading supplier of customized high technology electronics products and integrated hardware/software systems to federal, state and local government agencies, as well as domestic and international clients.
