TIPPECANOE SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES NEW BAR CODE TOOLKIT FOR WINDOWS APPLICATIONS DEVELOPERS

PLEASANTON, Calif., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Tippecanoe Systems Inc. today announced the release of a new bar code software product for developers of Windows applications. "Bars & Stripes DLL, Toolkit for Windows" is designed for developers who want to add bar-coding capability to other Windows applications.
"Since we announced 'Bars & Stripes' for Microsoft's Word for Windows in May, we have had many requests for a programmer's toolkit version," said Mike Tyler, president and chief executive officer of Tippecanoe Systems. "We've talked to customers who want to add bar code capability to everything from word processors and contact management applications, to database programs and accounting packages. That's what 'Bars & Stripes DLL, Toolkit for Windows' was designed to do."
"Bars & Stripes DLL, Toolkit for Windows" provides all the tools a programmer needs to "bar code enable" a Windows application, including a Dynamic Link Library (DLL), a sample program implementation and straightforward documentation. Also included are functions which provide text formatting, and bar code size and orientation. Bar codes are created as Device Independent Bitmaps (DIBs) which applications can access through the Windows clipboard.
"Bars & Stripes DLL, Toolkit for Windows," like its predecessor, "Bars & Stripes for Word for Windows," supports the seven most popular bar code symbologies including UPC-A, Code 39, Postnet, Code 93, Code 128, Interleaved 2/5 and Codabar.
"Bars & Stripes DLL, Toolkit for Windows" is priced at $199, and includes user documentation and software on both 3-1/2" and 5-1/4" floppy disks. "Bars & Stripes for Word for Windows" is priced at $99.
Tippecanoe Systems Inc. also offers attractive royalty arrangements for resellers.
