TIME WARNER INC. TO DONATE 150,000 COPIES OF VOICES OF TRIUMPH BOOKS TO SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND PUBLIC LIBRARIES ACROSS THE NATION

 $3 MILLION COMMITMENT WILL INVOLVE LOCAL PARTICIPATION
 BY TIME WARNER UNITS
 NEW YORK, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX) will make a donation of 150,000 copies of African Americans: Voices of Triumph, the three-volume Time Life book set which celebrates the African American heritage, to the nation's schools and libraries. The announcement of the $3 million commitment was made today by Gerald M. Levin, Time Warner Chairman and CEO.
 In a message mailed out to educators around the nation, Levin said: "Never has it been so important for America's schools and libraries to be able to represent America's cultural diversity with accuracy, objectivity and dignity. This is not a mission to be taken lightly -- which is why I take great pride in announcing Voices of Triumph, a celebration of African American heritage in three superbly illustrated volumes."
 Voices of Triumph is a comprehensive, fact-filled book set that raises the country's awareness of the significant contributions of African American pioneers-past and present.
 On the local level, Time Warner Cable systems from New York to Hawaii are distributing the volumes with planned school events around the donations in many areas. Time Warner businesses such as Time Warner Cable, Warner Bros. Inc., the Warner Music Group, the Book-of-the-Month Club and Six Flags Theme Parks will donate the books to schools and libraries in their communities.
 Voices of Triumph is the first in a series of multicultural sets planned by Time Life. The series is designed to bring new life and insight to the teaching of American history and is intended to draw students of every background to the realities and the myriad possibilities of America's cultural diversity.
