 TIME/SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR JOSE CARRERAS PRESS CONFERENCE/
 PHOTO & B-ROLL OPPORTUNITY FOR FRIDAY, MAY 15, ANNOUNCED
 The press conference and B-roll/photo opportunity for super-tenor Jose Carreras has been moved to a new time:
 10:45 a.m. -- B-roll and photo opportunities with Carreras and full orchestra in the downstairs Rehearsal Hall at the Greek Theatre, 2700 N. Vermont, Los Angeles.
 11 a.m. -- Press conference and one-on-one interview opportunities at the Greek Theatre Hospitality Suite, ground level.
 WHO: The "Tenoriffic" Carreras, when he makes his big-venue, U.S. debut. This will be Carreras' first Southern California appearance in seven years. His concert will be at 8 p.m., Saturday, May 16, at the Greek Theatre, as part of a special six-city tour, his first in more than 10 years.
 MORE: Since the last time he was here, Carreras has ...
 -- Won a Grammy Award for his leading part in the "Three Tenors" album, which has topped the classical charts for more than 18 months and has gone "double platinum," giving Carreras & Co. (Domingo and Pavarotti) some rock and roll-like sales credentials, like No. 2 in the British pop charts;
 -- Become a video star with the wildly popular television version of the "Three Tenors" concert -- the biggest selling video in any category internationally;
 -- Become a mass-media star throughout the world with large-venue concerts seating SRO audiences of 10,000-20,000 per performance; and
 -- Recovered completely from a year-long battle with life- threatening leukemia, which struck him down at the height of his operatic career. More than 150,000 turned out in his native Barcelona, Spain, for the 1987 concert that marked his successful comeback.
 CONTACT: Anne Bendheim of The Lee Solters Co., 213-651-9300, for Jose Carreras.
