TIE/COMMUNICATIONS ENTERS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY TRAINING AGREEMENT WITH DEVRY, INC.

SEYMOUR, Conn., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- TIE/communications, Inc. (AMEX: TIE), a major North American supplier of business communications systems services and software, announced today that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with the Corporate Educational Services (CES) Division of DeVry, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: DVRY). The agreement calls for DeVry to provide advanced technology training to TIE's several hundred technicians located throughout the United States and Canada.
"The proliferation of technically intense and sophisticated products and networks demands a highly trained staff of technicians to service and maintain them," said George N. We believe that our technicians must possess the most current technical training that today's sophisticated products and networks require."
"In addition to TIE products that include computer telephone integration (CTI), interactive voice response (IVR), video teleconferencing (VTC) and area networks (LAN/WAN), the telephone and specialized carrier networks are changing to accommodate equipment and techniques that offer increasing bandwidth and sophistication," added Eric V. Carter, TIE's executive vice president. "We chose DeVry (CES) because of its impeccable stature in the educational field and the wide geographic location of its facilities throughout North America."
