THUS launches ADSL products for business users.

INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

A new range of ADSL products for business customers has been launched by THUS plc, a UK-based provider of voice, data, Internet and contact centre services.

The Demon Premier Express products meet the demand for an intermediate service between "one size fits all" ADSL offerings and high-capacity leased lines, according to the company.

Three packages are available, all self-install and each with a GBP50 connection fee. The packages feature a choice of SMTP and POP3 e-mail, unlimited TCP/IP traffic and 24-hour technical support.

A Demon Premier Express Plus subscription costs GBP100 per month and includes 20MB of commercial web space, up to three domain names with mail and web forwarding, electronic fax, a choice of NAT or non-NAT configuration, up to 0.5MB/s downstream bandwidth and 0.25MB/s upstream, and 5:1 contention ratio.

Demon Premier Express Pro costs GBP200 per month and includes the features listed above but with up to 2.0MB/s downstream bandwidth and 0.25MB/s upstream.

A subscription to Demon Premier Express Gold is priced at GBP600 per month and in addition to the above includes 50MB of commercial web space, two electronic faxes, non-NAT with open ports, up to 2.0MB/s downstream bandwidth and 0.25MB/s upstream, 1:1 contention ratio, and four IP addresses.

Demon Premier Express is currently only available to customers based within 3.5km of enabled exchanges in the central London area. Further UK roll-out is planned for the future.
