 THREE-MONTH GAS PRICE TREND CONTINUES, AAA REPORTS
 ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The price of self-serve


regular unleaded gasoline regained the .2 cent it lost last week to average $1.158 per gallon nationwide, the American Automobile Association reports.
 According to the weekly AAA Fuel Gauge Report, gasoline prices have been fluctuating less than a penny per gallon weekly for the last three months, cresting at $1.171 on July 28 and reaching a low of $1.15 on Oct. 6.
 The largest price movement this year was surveyed the week of July 7 when the nationwide average fell by 2.1 cents from $1.187 per gallon, the year's high, to $1.166.
 The Fuel Gauge Report -- based on a nationwide spot check of gasoline stations -- was conducted for AAA by Computer Petroleum Corp. of St. Paul, Minn.
 The average price for self-serve mid-grade unleaded was down .1 cent to $1.252 per gallon. Premium unleaded was .2 cent higher at $1.339.
 Regionally, the average price for regular unleaded increased in New England, the Mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes states but declined elsewhere.
 In addition to surveying for the AAA Fuel Gauge Report, Computer Petroleum Corp. publishes the National Petroleum Price Index, which monitors more than 50,000 daily wholesale and retail gasoline prices through the United States and Canada.
 AAA is a not-for-profit federation of 145 motor clubs with more than 1,000 offices providing its more than 33 million members in the U.S. and Canada with travel, insurance, financial and auto-related services.
