THREE-FIVE SYSTEMS APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

 PHOENIX, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Three-Five Systems Inc. (AMEX: TFS) announced today that Thomas L. Schoenbeck, its vice president Finance and Administration, chief financial officer and secretary, has been appointed to the company's board of directors to replace Kenneth Julien, an employee and director who resigned earlier this month. Schoenbeck joined the company in June of last year. He has 23 years of business experience, most recently as a senior vice president of First Interstate Bank of Arizona. He has also held positions with The First National Bank of Chicago and Evans Transportation Co. Schoenbeck earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Kansas State University and received his masters of business administration degree in finance from Roosevelt University in Chicago.

 Three-Five Systems is a manufacturing and engineering services company specializing in custom liquid crystal display (LCD) and light-emitting diode (LED) devices. The company develops and produces custom information display systems and input devices for original equipment manufacturers' products. The company currently participates in the communications, office automation, industrial control and medical device markets. Worldwide headquarters and a technology center with an LCD laboratory, clean room and production facility for prototype and low-volume manufacturing are located in Phoenix. The company's facility in Swindon, England, services the European community, and high-volume manufacturing is performed in Manila, The Philippines.
