THOUGHT for the WEEK.

Byline: ANDREW COOK

POPULARITY can soon pass. The Easter story moves rapidly from the Hosanna welcome on Palm Sunday to the "Crucify him!" rejection on Good Friday.

It seemed that denial, betrayal, plotting and brutality had wiped out the life and message of Jesus.

But truth cannot be destroyed. Easter victory is described in Hebrews 12: "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
