THOR REPORTS QUARTERLY SALES UP 93 PERCENT;
RECORD RESULTS BETTER THAN EXPECTED
NEW YORK, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Thor Industries Inc. (NYSE: THO) announced today that preliminary sales for the quarter ended Oct. 31, 1991, were $64.4 million up 93 percent from $33.4 million last year.
"These sales are even higher than our earlier estimate and are easily a record for any quarter in the company's history," said Wade F.B. Thompson, Thor Chairman. "Complete results for the quarter will be reported in about 30 days".
Last week Thor announced the acquisition of certain assets of National Coach which will be combined with Thor's Eldorado Bus division.
Thor is the second largest RV builder in North America and the largest manufacturer of small and mid-size buses.
