THOR COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF NATIONAL COACH ASSETS JACKSON CENTER, Ohio, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Thor Industries Inc.
(NYSE: THO) reported today that it had completed the previously announced acquisition of certain assets of National Coach Corporation, and its affiliate National Seating Corporation, Chino, Calif.
"The combination of Eldorado Bus, Salina, Kan., our existing bus builder, with National Coach makes us the dominant manufacturer in the small and mid-size bus industry with over 50 percent of the U.S. market. National, which had sales of over $40 million for the year ended Dec. 31, 1990, adds management capability, a quality product line and a manufacturing plant to our existing bus operations," said Thor Chairman Wade F. B. Thompson. Thor last week announced expected record sales and earnings for the first quarter ending Oct. 31, 1991.
