 THOMAS ROLLER TO HEAD FRUEHAUF TRAILER CORPORATION
 DETROIT, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Fruehauf Trailer Corporation (NYSE:FTC) today announced that it has appointed Thomas B. Roller as president and chief executive officer of Fruehauf Trailer Corporation, effective November 2, 1992. Mr. Roller will succeed Arthur E. Rowe, who has been promoted to vice chairman.
 Mr. Roller previously served as vice president and general manager of the Residential Products Group of United Technologies Carrier Corporation, where he held several management positions during his ten year tenure. Most recently, Mr. Roller was president and chief executive officer of Plywood Panels Inc., a privately held national manufacturer, exporter and distributor of building products.
 Commenting on the appointment, Randolph W. Lenz, chairman of the board, said, "Tom Roller is particularly well suited to help return Fruehauf to profitability. Tom engineered restructuring efforts at both Plywood Panels and United Technologies' Residential Products Group, while enhancing both companies' product lines. The combination of his financial and managerial experience will be a driving factor at Fruehauf. As vice chairman, Art Rowe will be actively involved in Fruehauf's acquisitions, sales, marketing and strategic development. We look forward to his continued contributions in his new role."
