THOMAS DECLARES 152ND CONSECUTIVE QUARTERLY CASH DIVIDEND

 LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Thomas Industries Inc. (NYSE: TII) today declared a quarterly cash dividend of 10 cents per share, payable July 1, 1993, to shareholders of record June 4, 1993. This will be the 152nd consecutive quarterly cash dividend paid by the Company.
 Thomas Industries Inc. designs, manufactures and markets commercial, industrial and residential lighting products, fractional horsepower compressors and vacuum pumps, as well as specialty products for commercial, industrial and consumer markets. Thomas has operations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe and Asia.
