| THIS trio of tiny tots were judged |the bonniest babies of 30 who entered a May Day competition staged by the Walpole Hotel, Dryclough Road, Crosland Moor.
Seven-month-old Emma Louise Gilbert, pictured centre with her mum Teresa, took the top prize of a PS12 voucher for the Huddersfield Mothercare store and a free photograph session.
Mrs Tina Peters is seen (left) holding the second prize winner, three-month old Brent Michael, and Mrs Susan Folan's son, Dean James, aged nine months, was third.
The competition was judged by Huddersfield Barracudas rugby player Peter Cramp and his wife. Entry fees from the baby competition and the boat race drinking contest won by Walpole regulars Ronnie Farsworth Jnr, Joe Morris, Malcolm Shaw and Charles Gilbert, all went to boost the pub's fund-raising effort for research into multiple sclerosis.
