THIRD 'CRIMEWATCH NEW JERSEY' PROGRAM TO BE AIRED STATEWIDE TUESDAY, JUNE 15, ON CTN 7:00 - 8:00 P.M.; PROGRAM TO FOCUS ON COMMUNITY POLICING

TRENTON, N.J., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, June 15, from 7 - 8 p.m., the Cable Television Network of New Jersey (CTN) will air the third edition of the Network's "CrimeWatch New Jersey" series. The subject of this month's program is community policing, a new crime prevention technique already in place in New Brunswick.
"CrimeWatch New Jersey" is a series produced through a joint effort of CTN, the New Jersey Cable Television Association (NJCTA) and Attorney General Robert J. Del Tufo. This edition will be produced by CTN's affiliate, TKR Tri-System in Piscataway.
Guests will include: Attorney General Robert J. Del Tufo; Robert Winter, Director of Criminal Justice in the Department of Law and Public Safety; Cardell Cooper, Mayor of East Orange, Sgt. Skip Johnson of the Trenton Police and State Trooper Al Della Fave.
The program will specifically focus on community policing in New Brunswick. This city's experience with the project will be discussed by Major James Cahill, Community Police Officer Alvin Knighton and Guerillmo Maldonado of the Puerto Rican Action Board.
The program will also include a segment on New Jersey's Most Wanted Fugitive. Each month the program will feature one of the 12 most wanted suspects sought by the New Jersey State Police. It will also feature a segment on missing children.
Noting that State Police detectives and Troopers will be participating in each edition, Colonel Justin Dintino said that information about unsolved and missing persons cases, as well as timely and life saving anti-crime tips, will be regular features on "CrimeWatch New Jersey."
"I expect `CrimeWatch New Jersey' to become an important weapon in our crime fighting arsenal. As thousands of New Jerseyans tune into the Cable Television Network and `CrimeWatch New Jersey,' I am certain that their eyes and ears will provide State Police and law enforcement officers across the state with new leads and crucial information that will help solve cases and wrap up investigations," Dintino added.
"CTN is proud to air such an important series for the residents of New Jersey," CTN's Executive Director Jim DeBold said. "Programs like `CrimeWatch New Jersey' are great examples of why CTN was started ten years ago, to serve New Jersey's cable subscribers."
CTN will be carrying "CrimeWatch New Jersey" at 7:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.
