THERMADYNE INDUSTRIES EXTENDS OFFER FOR SOLICITATION OF CONSENTS
 ST. LOUIS, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Thermadyne Industries Inc. has extended until midnight, New York City time on Jan. 30, 1992, its previously announced Offers to Exchange and Solicitation of Consents for its Senior Subordinated Deferred Coupon Reset Debentures due May 1, 2000, and its Subordinated Reset Debentures due 2001, the company reported today. The Exchange Offers were previously set to expire on Jan. 16, 1992.
 Thermadyne Industries Inc. was advised by the Exchange Agent for the Exchange Offers that as of 5 p.m., New York City time, on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1992, approximately $70,707,300 aggregate principal amount of Senior Subordinated Deferred Coupon Reset Debentures due May 1, 2000, (or approximately 28 percent of the aggregated principal amount outstanding) and approximately $45,225,000 aggregate principal amount of Subordinated Reset Debentures due 2001 (or approximately 30 percent of the aggregate principal amount outstanding) had been validly tendered and not withdrawn.
