THE television contribution to the Bond-fest was featuring the films' top themes, revealing some great snippets along the way. Poor old Julie Rogers understood she was singing the theme to You Only Live Twice, having recorded it with composer John Barry and a 50-piece orchestra - then found Nancy Sinatra's voice on the soundtrack.

Producer Harry Saltzman had suddenly decided he wanted Frank Sinatra, who demurred, but added his 26-year-old daughter would do it. So terrified popster Nancy spent four days in the recording studio and John Barry cobbled together one usable take. But then it was best not to disagree with Frank.
