THE VIDATRON GROUP ANNOUNCES JOINT VENTURE COMPANY

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Vidatron Group Inc. wishes to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Vidatron Interactive Services Inc. ("Vidatron"), has formed a joint venture company based in Ottawa, Ontario, in order to take immediate advantage of a number of opportunities for the Electronic Trade Show ("ETS") in Canada. ETS is the hardware/software multimedia distance marketing tool developed jointly by IBM Canada Ltd. and Vidatron.
Vidatron will own a 51 percent interest in the joint venture company, named "ETS" Electronic Trade Show (Canada) Inc. ("ETS Canada"). General Assembly and Touch Communications, both of Ottawa, will each hold a 24.5 percent interest. General Assembly is Ottawa's largest video, animation, and multimedia production facility. Touch Communications is an IBM re-seller with expertise and experience in multimedia development in several platforms. Together, ETS Canada will have the necessary tools to assist small to medium-sized Canadian companies to market through international trade venues.
The business case for ETS will be based on the strength and durability of the new IBM Ultimedia kiosk. The kiosks are multilingual, will use high definition video, audio and graphics technology, and will contain a virtually unlimited number of interactive video presentations. Presentations will be designed to each customer's specification and may range from a static screen display to a full motion picture interactive program. Utilizing a simple touch screen, users can browse through industry directories and individual company profiles to learn about products and services, joint venture and investment opportunities.
ETS will have its commercial launch at COMDEX in Las Vegas from Nov. 15 to 19 and at the Canadian Computer Show and Exposition ("CCSE") in Toronto commencing Nov. 22. ETS will be part of the External Affairs Canada presentation at COMDEX and be included in the IBM booth at CCSE.
Having established ETS in Canada, Vidatron's next goal will be to expand ETS to the United States, Europe, and Asia. In order to facilitate this expansion, Vidatron will be seeking strategic business alliances with established multimedia developers and electronic publishers.
