THE VADER GROUP INC., ENTERING INTO FIELD
OF HEALTH CARE DOCTOR BILLING REVIEW
GARDEN CITY, N.Y., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Vader Group, Inc. (AMEX: VDR) announced today that it entered the field of health care billing review. Vader intends to provide surgical and doctor bill auditing to, multi-employer Trust Funds and Third Party administrators. To implement this work, Vader has received the exclusive rights, from Jelco Ventures of Chicago to the use of the "Code Review" software developed by HPR (Health Payment Review), a Boston based company, for the United States, for self administered "Taft-Hartley" multi-employer trust funds, in consideration of the issuance to Jelco Ventures rights for five years to purchase 250,000 shares of the Companies common stock at $1-3/4 a share.
This software utilizes a data base developed over many years of CPT-IV payment codes for every medical procedure currently used by physicians and surgeons. This data base evaluates each bill that is presented to the system and determines if:
1 -- The proper codes have been used for the procedure.
2 -- The charges for the code are correct and within AMA guidelines
3 -- The charges are usual and customary for the location (by zip code) where the procedure was performed.
The Data Services Division of the company using this software will be set up in Chicago by Aug. 31, 1992 and marketing of this service in Chicago and the New York-New Jersey area will begin immediately. The company has no customers for this service at this time, but anticipates to obtain some as soon as the software is operational. However, there can be no assurance that this will take place.
As previously announced the company presently does not meet all the financial and other requirements for continued listing on the AMEX and could be delisted.
