THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGING.
THE creative blends of old and new perspectives of the same Cardiff street scene have been growing in popularity since we began running them.
Blender-in-chief Rahim Mastafa, right, has been working his Photoshop magic throughout the city by mixing together old and new pictures of the same scene.
This week, he turns his attention to the Rummer Tavern.
He says: "As a regular pub goer in my younger years, I'd every now and then find myself in the Rummer Tavern with some friends. The Rummer Tavern is one of Cardiff's older pubs, dating to the early 18th century. It's distinctive Tudor style stands out among the modern pubs and bars in the city centre. In this image, you can see that the front had what looks like a sweet shop selling toffee.
"I once read that it's haunted by the ghost of a sailor. Look out for him the next time you are in the toilets downstairs, as that's where he's reported to be..."
