THE READING TERMINAL MARKET CELEBRATES THANKSGIVING WITH TURKEY EXTRAVAGANZA

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 16 ~PRNewswire~ -- The lilting call of the wild turkey will fill The Reading Terminal Market, Thursday, Nov. 19, from noon to 2 p.m. when Allegheny Mountain Turkey Call Champion Steve Lecorchick helps the Market celebrate the approaching Thanksgiving Day Holiday.
The First Turkey Spectacular, co-sponsored by The Reading Terminal's Market Merchants' Association and Philadelphia-based Bassett's Original Turkey, brings Lecorchick to town for festivities at the Market.
Also featured during the two hours will be a live flock of turkeys gobbling their stuff for the noontime crowd. Additionally, there will be a turkey cooking and carving demonstration by Roger Bassett, founder and president of Bassett's Original Turkey. Free turkey samples and a Ben Franklin look-alike will also be on hand. (After all, Ben Franklin championed the turkey to be our national bird).
Lecorchick will perform many of the gathering, mating and warning calls that have won him national acclaim.
