THE PAPER FOR WINNERS: THRILLED TO BIT S! Mary drives off with top prize.

CIVIL servant Mary McGowan thought she'd be forking out for her rusting old Rover's MoT. But thanks to the Daily Record she'll be driving a top of-the-range Kia Cerato.

Mary won our Hogmanay car competition and picked up the keys at Park's Kia in Hamilton yesterday.

Now Mary, of Carluke, Lanarkshire, is looking forward to weekend drives with husband Tom.

She said: 'I couldn't believe it when I found out I'd won. I'm thrilled to bits.

'This is amazing. We do a lot of travelling at the weekends, going away for a few days, so the car will get a lot of use.'
