THE MECHANICS BANK OF RICHMOND, CALIF., SELECTS CORELINK RESOURCES, INC., TO PROVIDE MUTUAL FUNDS AND ANNUITIES

 CONCORD, Calif., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Mechanics Bank of Richmond, Calif., has selected CoreLink Resources, Inc., to provide a new program for marketing investment products to customers in its northern California offices, it was announced by Richard L. Saalfeld, chairman of CoreLink Resources, Inc.
 CoreLink Resources (formerly named Corebank Resources), based in Concord, Calif., provides financial services, including mutual funds and annuities, to community banks.
 The bank's new program, Hilltop Investments, will give customers the opportunity to invest in a variety of quality mutual funds and annuities, and to receive reports of all their investments on one consolidated statement.
 In making the announcement, Saalfeld said: "We are very pleased to add such a respected bank to the list of financial institutions using our program. The Mechanics Bank has served its community for nearly 90 years and we are proud to be associated with them as they continue to provide new products and services for their customers."

 The Mechanics Bank, established in 1905, was recently named the best-managed bank in northern California in a survey conducted by KPMG Peat Marwick. It has 15 branches in the East Bay area of San Francisco.
 New York-based Concord Holding Corporation, the largest administrator of bank-related mutual funds with more than $30 billion in mutual fund assets under administration, is the majority investor in CoreLink Resources.
