THE HUNTINGTON NATIONAL BANK TO DISTRIBUTE HOLIDAY POSTAGE STAMPS AT AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINES

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- A spectacular holiday stamp with a snowman design will be distributed through Huntington Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) beginning on Nov. 5, 1993. This limited edition Christmas stamp will not be sold after the holiday season.
The ATM stamp is self-adhesive and customers have the option to buy up to three "sheetlets" per transaction, each containing 18 of the 29-cent stamps. They are sold at face value -- $5.22 per sheetlet -- plus a 25-cent handling fee. The sale is automatically deducted from the customer's checking account.
"Our customers were overwhelmingly enthusiastic about the holiday stamps last year," noted Debra Ann Nelson, electronic banking business analyst. "We are aware of several individuals who came from surrounding states to purchase the unique holiday stamps through The Huntington's ATMs.
According to Nelson, The Huntington distributes the only Christmas self-adhesive stamp sheetlet produced by the U.S. Postal Service. Additionally, The Huntinton is the only major bank in Ohio to dispense the stamp sheetlets through its ATMs.
The Huntington pioneered the sale of stamps through ATMs beginning in April of 1992.
