 THE HUNTINGTON NATIONAL BANK COMPLETES
 PURCHASE OF FIVE TRANSOHIO BRANCHES
 COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Huntington National Bank announced that today it completed the purchase of five TransOhio banking offices in Cincinnati. Total deposits of $177 million were purchased in this transaction. Huntington now operates 25 banking offices in the combined Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky market with over $600 million in total deposits.
 Mer Grayson, regional executive of Huntington Banks in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky market, commented, "We are very pleased to have completed this purchase. TransOhio served its customers well over the years. These customers will now benefit from the breadth of products Huntington offers, its commitment to quality service, and its financial strength."
 The offices will open under Huntington's name on Monday, Jan. 13. They are located in the following Cincinnati suburbs: Anderson, Delhi, North College Hill, Western Hills and Westwood.
 The Huntington National Bank is the principal subsidiary of Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (NASDAQ: HBAN), a $12.3 billion regional bank holding company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. The company's banking subsidiaries operate 267 offices in Ohio, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. In addition, Huntington's mortgage, trust, investment banking, and automobile finance subsidiaries manage 48 offices in the seven states mentioned as well as Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Virginia.
