THE DREAM MAN; Every week I reveal the secrets behind your most terrifying nightmares and strangest dreams.
I DREAM I am out and about and desperate for the toilet but when I find public toilets they are always flooded, disgustingly dirty and not private. Everyone can see what I'm up to. I'm so desperate for the loo, I use them anyway and it's the whole thing of not having the privacy and trying not to get my feet wet. What can this mean? Charlene THE flooded toilets indicate you have emotional needs that you try to ignore.
The need for privacy shows that you don't want to appear needy and would prefer it if other people could understand what your needs are without you actually telling them.
In waking life, we often hope our own needs will be met if we look after others but usually we end up taken for granted.
The best way to resolve these dreams is to put your own needs before the needs of others by using the word "no" now and again.
This is not being selfish. You can only really look after others when you look after yourself by clearly stating your own needs.
I DREAM that my teeth are crumbling, and that I am trying to run from people and I keep lifting off the ground, then back down to run for a bit then back up off the ground again. Mandy WHEN we dream about our teeth, we are often dreaming about how confident we feel in waking life.
We show our teeth when we smile and when we bite, so they symbolise our level of confidence and how we assert ourselves. If we dream about losing our teeth, then there is a situation in our waking lives where we feel less confident than we would like to.
People often have this dream when they find themselves in demanding circumstances and feel that their choices are restricted in some way. When we dream of being chased there is often a situation in waking life that we find stressful.
The stress is usually caused as we put ourselves under pressure to perform or deliver.
Lifting off the ground shows you do have choices in waking life because you are managing to break free before you put yourself under pressure again.
Decide what will make you happiest and think about ways you can make that happen. Choose ones that are going to make you smile!
MY recurring dream is that I am packing but no matter how much I pack more and more stuff appears and I never get to the end of it. I end up missing my flight because I just can't finish the packing. I am sometimes exhausted by morning! Dorothy WHEN we dream of packing, we are reflecting on how we organise our waking lives - so we can pack as much as possible into them. Although you may seem really disorganised in your dream, I imagine that you are a very organised person in waking life.
However, no matter how much you try and pack into your life, it seems as if there is always more to do. All this is done in the hope that your efforts will take you somewhere special, beyond the routine of everyday life.
The missed flight indicates an opportunity that you feel you have missed because you have been so busy trying to fulfil the hopes and dreams of others.
There is baggage you need to let go of in your waking life.
Focus on what makes you feel happy and fulfilled.
