THE CHASE IS ON! CHARLIE CHASE TO PERFORM ON 'MUSIC CITY TONIGHT'
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Charlie Chase, co-host of TNN's flagship program "Music City Tonight," tries his hand at life on the other side of the couch Wednesday, Nov. 10, as he performs "My Wife," the first single from his Epic Nashville release "My Wife ... My Life" on the show. Chase speaks to the heart and America has been listening since the single first hit the radio in September. "There's no holding this one back," says Scott Mateer of WMSI in Jackson, Miss. "We played it once and our request lines rang for the next hour." "My Wife ... My Life" is indeed a new direction for the versatile Chase, who has built a career bringing country music and its singers to the public. After years spent behind a radio microphone and in front of a television camera, Chase has developed the rare gift of making words sound like life itself. Having something to say and a voice capable of expressing it is a rare combination. And fans are responding to the other side of this genial host -- the dedicated family man, the father, the friend -- seeking his autograph at public appearances and flooding radio request lines for replays of "My Wife." "There'll be no line dancing done to it," Chase laughs. "But I think people will be able to draw a sense of warmth and togetherness within themselves and their families from listening to it, because that's the intention -- the thought -- behind it." Hear for yourself as Chase performs the single Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 9 p.m. ET on TNN. -0- 11/9/93 /CONTACT: Joan Myers, Myers Media, 615-269-6010, or Wendy Shaffer Pearl, Epic Nashville Media, 615-742-4345/
