QUEEN'S 'HOUSE': Hugh Laurie, who stars in the hit TV medical drama "House," was made a member of the Order of the British Empire on Wednesday.

Queen Elizabeth II presented the honor to Laurie at Buckingham Palace.

The 47-year-old actor has been part of the comedy establishment in Britain for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Cambridge Footlights comedy group along with Emma Thompson and Stephen Fry.

Laurie and Fry landed their own sketch show, "A Bit of Fry and Laurie," in 1987. They also starred in "Jeeves and Wooster," a hugely popular TV version of P.G Wodehouse's comic stories.

Laurie's film roles include "Sense and Sensibility," "Peter's Friends" and "Stuart Little."

He has won two Golden Globe awards for his role on "House" as the brilliant but flawed Dr. Gregory House, who heads a medical team specializing in the diagnosis of rare disorders.

He now spends most of his time in Los Angeles for his role on the network show.

SHE'S PREGNANT: Kim Raver, last seen sleeping on the finale of "24," has told TV Guide she's pregnant. "I'm so thrilled to be having a second child, I couldn't keep it secret," said the star, who is due this fall, not long before the winter debut of her new NBC series "Lipstick Jungle." Raver told the mag that the producers accepted her news in stride. "Of course, at some point, we'll need to problem-solve."

Being pregnant on "24" would been more of a problem. "It would have been really tricky going from slip to nine months pregnant in one 24-hour period," she said.

REHAB REPORT: A couple of tabloids are saying Nicole Richie is going the rehab route again. (Or is that just a vacation?) With boyfriend Joel Madden out of the country on tour, the tabs report, a lonely and emaciated Richie is once again seeking outpatient treatment as she battles both an eating disorder and substance abuse issues. Ritchie is said to have checked into the Southern California rehabilitation center Beau Monde on May 11, where she once again battles her anorexia and addiction to painkillers and is now being treated as an outpatient.

MYERS AS MITTY: Mike Myers is attached to "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," the long-in-the-works remake of the 1947 Danny Kaye classic that is set up at 20th Century Fox.

Jay Kogen, a writer-producer on such shows as "Frasier" and "Malcolm in the Middle," is penning the movie. Samuel Goldwyn Jr. is producing.

This is the latest incarnation for "Mitty," which over the years has attracted the likes of Jim Carrey and Eddie Murphy, even Whoopi Goldberg in a "Martha Mitty" version. Directors that came and went included Steven Spielberg and Chuck Russell.

Goldwyn had the project set up at Paramount with Marks Waters directing and Owen Wilson starring, but it stalled in October 2005 after the studio failed to cast a female lead to play opposite the actor.

"Mitty" centers on a quintessential daydreamer whose vivid imagination allows him to escape from the mundane constraints of his ordinary life.
