United Lutheran Church - The church's Youth Group Rummage Sale will be held today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, West 22nd Avenue and Washington Street. Proceeds to finance Mexico mission trip. The "Riverside Chamber Symphony" conducted by Philip Bayles will perform at 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Songspinners will perform their end-of-season concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Free.

Rabbi Myron Kinberg Memorial Peace & Justice Lecture - Rabbi Yohanna Kinberg will give the 10th annual lecture, entitled "Acknowledging the Sovereign Self and Embracing Sacred Community: A Spiritual Approach for Healing and Transforming Our World," at 7 p.m. Sunday at Temple Beth Israel, 2550 Portland St. Kinberg is assistant rabbi at Temple B'nai Torah in Bellevue, Wash., and the daughter of lecture namesake Myron Kinberg, former longtime rabbi at Temple Beth Israel. Free.

Westminster Organ Recital - James Hardcastle, organist at Westminster Presbyterian Church, will perform a recital Sunday at 4 p.m. on the church's 2-year-old Bond pipe organ, 777 Coburg Road. Works of Bach, Mulet, Walton, Buxtehude and Widor. Information: 343-3140.

John Shelby Spong lecture - John Shelby Spong, emeritus Episcopal bishop and author, will give a talk entitled "Who is the Popular God in Public Life in the 21st Century?" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in 150 Columbia Hall, 1215 E. 13th Ave. on the UO campus. Spong is the 2005-06 Kritikos Professor in the Humanities, sponsored by Oregon Humanities Center. Free. Information: 346-3934.
