Valley Covenant Church - Storyteller Christopher Leebrick, co-founder of Lord Leebrick Theatre Co., will present "Dawn of the Messiah," a one-man dramatization of the gospel story, on Good Friday at 7 p.m. at the church, 3636 W. 18th Ave. Free; donations welcome. Central Lutheran Church - Kristi Lodge, a doctoral candidate at the University of Oregon focusing on medieval studies, will discuss "Religion in Pre-Reformation England" during the adult education hour at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the church, East 18th Avenue and Potter Street. Information: 345-0395.

Riviera Baptist Church - Revival services with evangelist Ed Newton and worship leader Chris Orr will be held at 8:15 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at the church at 3071 River Road. Information: or 688-2915.

Central Presbyterian Church - Matthew Crom of the University of Oregon Department of Philosophy will lead a class on "Bible 102: Central Themes and Christian Faith" at 9:45 a.m. at the church, 555 E. 15th Ave. Also at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Wesley Lachman will offer a one-week class, "Heaven is Here," on his book on the contemplative mystical path. A soup supper will be held at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, donations accepted, followed by a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. with seder meal and Holy Communion. St. Mary's Episcopal Church - Holy Week activities at the church, 166 E. 13th Ave., include Palm Sunday services at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.; a Stations of the Cross in Spanish at 7:30 p.m. Monday; a Stations of the Cross in English at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday; a Service of Darkness at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday; a Maundy Thursday service at 7:30 p.m.; and a Good Friday Mass of the Pre-Sanctified at 11:30 a.m. followed by a three-hour service at noon.

St. Thomas Episcopal Church - A Palm Sunday service will be held at 10 a.m. at the church, 1465 Coburg Road. A Maundy Thursday Eucharist service will be held at 7 p.m. Good Friday events include meditations and hymns at 2 p.m. and reflections on the Passion of Christ at 7 p.m.

Countryside Christian Fellowship - A Palm Sunday service will be held at 10 a.m. at the fellowship, Coburg Road and North Coburg Road in Coburg, with coffeehouse opening at 7:30 a.m. for scones, turnovers, biscuits and gravy, coffee. One World Baha'i School - Spring term classes for children ages 4 through 14 begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday and run through June 11 at the Eugene Baha'i Center, 1458 Alder St. Classes focus on Baha'u'llah, prophet-founder of Baha'i faith. Interfaith Prayer and Reflection Service - The service, held on the 11th of each month, will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, 1166 Oak St. Theme is "Rebirth and Renewal: The Cycle of Life." Program includes prayers, dance or song from Goddess, Daoist, Baha'i, Unitarian Universalist, Sufi, Sikh, Christian, Islamic, Sathya Sai Baba, Jewish and Unity traditions. Ladies Aid Salad Luncheon - The luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trent Church of Christ, 38029 Wheeler Road in Dexter. All-you-can-eat salads, rolls, drinks.
