First Presbyterian Church of Cottage Grove - The congregation will host a concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church at 216 S. Third St., featuring new church organist and music director Natascha Reich, who will become part of the paid staff in June. She began playing the organ during her childhood in Vienna and has performed throughout Europe. She is studying for a doctorate in music at the University of Oregon. Other area musicians also will participate in the concert, which is free, although an offering will be taken to support the congregation's summer music program. 541-942-4479.
Mohawk Community Church - Part 5 of the DVD series "Building a Family Legacy" with James Dobson will continue at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church at 91146 Marcola Road in Springfield, with the topic "Bringing Up Girls." Bethel Temple Faith Ministries - The congregation will host a guest speaker from Pakistan, Pastor Mujaid El Masih with The Voice of the Martyrs, with sessions from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on May 22 and 23, and again on May 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Masih will speak on his ministry of starting 300 churches, a Bible school and a child-support program in Pakistan and offer testimony on the persecuted church and the teachings of Islam.
