Trinity United Methodist Church - The congregation will hold its "Messy Church Christmas Celebration" from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at 440 Maxwell Road, with crafts and activities for all ages and a free chili dinner. Bring potluck side dish to share. 541-688-3269.

Grace Lutheran Church - The congregation's outdoor "Living Nativity" continues at 15-minute intervals from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 710 E. 17th Ave., with cocoa and cookies. The event is free. At 10 a.m. Sunday, the Children's Christmas Service will be "The Meaning of Chrismons." The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, with harp, bell choir and vocal choir music. Valley Covenant Church - A children's Christmas pageant will be presented at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church at 3636 W. 18th Ave. The candlelight Christmas Eve service will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, with Christmas carols and a gift for each child. Pastor Stephen Bilynskyj will deliver a Christmas message, "Restored Praise," and candles will be lit at the end of the service. 541-345-0055.

Cascade Center for Spiritual Living - The Rev. Stna Knez will speak on "Into the Light," and Kerry Beverly will provide music at the 10 a.m. service Sunday at 500-D Main St. in Springfield. 541-747-3887 or

Unity of the Valley - The Rev. Nola Woodbury will share her adventures in the Holy Land in a talk, "Road to Bethlehem," accompanied by the Unity Choir, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at 3912 Dillard Road. Christmas Eve services will be at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. 541-345-9913 or
