Spencer Creek Lutheran Church - The Majesty Team, a group of young musicians from the Association Free Lutheran Bible School in Minneapolis, will perform at the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday at the church, 86286 Pine Grove Road. The five-member team presents a mix of hymns and contemporary songs, along with personal testimonies of faith. A potluck fellowship dinner will follow. 687-8643 or 517-0644.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church - The Cornerstone Gospel singers, Gordon and Peggy Kuryluk, will perform at the worship service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the church, 85780 McBeth Road. Their music includes Southern gospel, inspirational and contemporary. 344-7986.

Salvation Army Parking Lot Party and VBS - The army's Eugene corps will kick off its annual Vacation Bible School with a parking lot party from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at 640 W. Seventh Ave. Free hot dogs, popcorn, Popsicles, bouncer, face painting, games. The Bible School will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, with a theme of "The Great Bible Reef." Open to children ages 5 through 12. Call for a ride. 343-3328.

East Side Baptist Church VBS - The church at 4045 Commercial Ave. in Springfield will host a Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Open to children ages four through fifth grade. Lifeway's Game Day Central is the theme. 744-3132 or 764-5842.

Thurston Community Baptist Church VBS - A sports-themed Vacation Bible School focusing on soccer will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday at the church, 6364 Main St. in Springfield. Students will walk to and back from nearby park. Open to children from kindergarten to fifth. 726-5556.

Emmaus and United Lutheran churches - The two churches will offer a `Kids' Adventure Week' on Monday through Friday, with Vacation Bible School for pre-school children, a day camp for kindergarten through third grade, and an overnight camp for 4th and 5th graders. 344-1150 at Emmaus or 342-5808 at United.

Cascade Presbyterian Church Organic Farmers' Market - The market will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. this Wednesday and every Wednesday in the church parking lot, 3350 Willamette St. 343-5538.

Willamette Valley Old Time Gospel Sing - The nondenominational gospel sing will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church, 1162 B St. in Springfield. Practice time will be from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Open mike, musician open platform; bring songs and instruments. Open to all churches.
