THE BUCKLE REPORTS 31 PERCENT SALES INCREASE FOR MAY 1992 KEARNEY, Neb., June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Buckle, Inc.
(NASDAQ-NMS: BKLE), today announced that sales for the four-week period ended May 30, 1992, increased 31 percent to $6,481,000 from $4,945,000 in the corresponding four-week period in May 1991. Comparable store sales rose 10.6 percent in the four-week period ended May 30, 1992.
Net sales year-to-date, for the 17 weeks ended May 30, 1992, increased 26 percent to $26.2 million from $20.8 million in the 17 weeks in fiscal 1991. Comparable store sales year-to-date were up 7.4 percent over sales in the 1991 period.
