THE BOMBAY COMPANY ANNOUNCES SALES INCREASE FOR NOVEMBER FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bombay Company, Inc.
(AMEX: BBA) reported today that retail sales for the four week period ended Nov. 24, 1991 increased 24 percent to $14,119,000 from $11,358,000 for the same period last year. Same store sales for stores in existence more than one year increased 12 percent. For the 21 week period ended Nov. 24, 1991, total retail sales increased 25 percent to $58,857,000 from $46,925,000 while same store sales for stores in existence more than one year increased 10 percent.
Robert E.M. Nourse, president and chief executive officer, stated that sales showed continued strength during November, although some of the gain was attributable to the previously announced change in the company's marketing calendar.
