THE BOMBAY COMPANY ANNOUNCES SALES INCREASE FOR JULY FORT WORTH, Texas, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bombay Company, Inc.
(AMEX: BBA) reported today that sales for the four-week period ended July 26, 1992 increased 22 percent to $12,752,000 from $10,451,000 for the same period last year. Same store sales for stores in existence more than one year increased 11 percent.
Robert E. M. Nourse, president and chief executive officer, stated that he was pleased with the July sales results especially considering that these sales increases were on top of a 14 percent same store sales increase in July of last year.
