 ELECTS OFFICERS, DECLARES REGULAR QUARTERLY DIVIDEND
 ATLANTA, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) today elected Anton Amon and George Gourlay senior vice presidents.
 In addition, the Board declared a regular quarterly dividend of 14 cents per common share. The dividend is payable Oct. 1 to share owners of record on Sept. 15, and reflects a two-for-one stock split effective on May 1.
 Dr. Amon assumed his current responsibilities as manager of the Company's Product Integrity Division last January. He joined the Company in 1970 and has served in management positions around the world, including regional quality assurance manager in Mexico, and division manufacturing manager and quality assurance manager in Germany.
 In 1981, Dr. Amon joined Coca-Cola USA and was appointed vice president and manager of the Technical Division, and two years later, he was named senior vice president. In 1988, he joined Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc., The Coca-Cola Company's largest U.S. bottler, as vice president, Operations, and in September 1989, he returned to the Company as director, Corporate Quality Assurance. He was elected vice president in 1989.
 A native of Austria, Dr. Amon received his engineering degree in Food Technology from the University of Vienna and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Michigan State University.
 Mr. Gourlay assumed his current responsibilities as head of the Technical Operations Division last January. He joined the Company in 1970 and has held management positions worldwide, including technical manager and later director of Operations for Northern Europe in London; director of Technical Operations for Europe; and technical director in Germany.
 In 1986, he became manager, Corporate Concentrate Operations. He was named assistant vice president in 1988 and elected vice president in 1989.
 A native of Scotland, Mr. Gourlay received his B.Sc. Honors in Pure Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow in 1965.
