IN WAKE OF FIRE AT ITS 874 LINCOLN WAY OFFICE
AUBURN, Calif., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bank of California resumed limited banking operations today in its annex adjacent to its 874 Lincoln Way, Auburn, banking office, which experienced interior damage in a fire early this morning. Tomorrow, on Friday, the office will be relocated to interim facilities at 455 Grass Valley Hwy. in Auburn, where the bank will maintain normal, full-service operations.
Paul Ross, Bank of California's Valley Area manager, said, "Clients should feel absolutely assured that all account records, safe deposit box contents and other sensitive information are safe and are completely intact.
"Our objective here was to minimize any inconvenience to clients by resuming operations in as few hours as possible. That objective has been met." He added that clients having additional questions about their banking services can call the Auburn office number, 916-885-3701, which has been restored to service.
The Bank of California has deep roots in the Auburn community, having been in business there since 1913, and as the Placer County Bank since 1887.
The Bank of California, the first incorporated baking institution in the West, is the state's fifth-largest bank with $8.2 billion in assets. It operates 51 banking offices in California, Washington and Oregon, as well as 11 international offices.
