 THE APPLIANCE STORE APPOINTS VICE PRESIDENT OF MERCHANDISING
 PITTSBURGH, Jan. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Appliance Store announced today that Russell Arden has joined the company as vice president of merchandising, effective Monday, Jan. 6. Arden will be responsible for merchandising of all television, video and audio products.
 Arden comes to The Appliance Store with broad buying experience from Circuit City stores and wholesale experience from his independent representation firm, The Advantage Group.
 The Appliance Store, based in Pittsburgh, operates 54 retail outlets throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
