Acting normal isn't easy for the creepiest, freakiest and weirdest family in America. But that's the crux of this big, comedy-musical version of The Addams Family.

Based on Charles Addams's cartoons of the 1930s, 18-year-old Wednesday wants to marry all-American boy Lucas, whose straightlaced parents come to dinner. Thanks to a suitably gothic stage design, it's like watching a Fawlty Towers episode on the set of Michael Jackson's Thriller video.

Gomez is at his eccentric best, actor Cameron Blakely showing off his Transylvanian Spanish accent. Eastenders' Samantha Womack looks suitably pale as Morticia. And hard-to-recognise Les Dennis proves he can sing - and act - as creepy Uncle Fester.

Big showpiece numbers bring out the best in this ghoulish production. Catchy, finger-clicking sing-alongs.

If you had to single out someone it's Carrie Hope Fletcher as the tortured (and torturing) Wednesday.

Great fun for all the family.

Get your freak on when the creeps show up in Glasgow.
