THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY GAS PRICES REMAIN AT $1.19 SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Motorists travelling over
the Thanksgiving holiday will find unleaded self-service gas prices remaining at an average of $1.19 for the third straight month, reports the California State Automobile Association (CSAA).
"The major factors in the California retail gas market are lowered consumer demand and good supply," according to Mike Doyle, of Computer Petroleum Corp., which conducts CSAA's monthly survey of 600 gas retailers in northern and central California and the state of Nevada. Today's average retail unleaded self-service gas price is 26 cents lower than costs in November 1990, during the Persian Gulf conflict.
